If you’ve ever grown herbs and veggies in a greenhouse you know the special challenges that come along with it. At my altitude (8600), the growing season is a short one so greenhouses and covered beds are a must. However they do bring with them certain challenges such as garden pests. Aphids, spider mites and rodents to name a few. We at The Thymekeeper believe in the most natural and time tested methods of controlling pests and maintaining a healthy balance using companion planting and natural products.
Some plants can be used as sacrificial plants to keep the aphids off of my herbs and veggies. Sunflowers being one of them.
