Homemade Tooth Powder
|
Ingredient List
1/4 cup sea salt
1/4 cup Kaolin white clay
1/4 cup baking soda (Bobs Red Mill best)
1 Tablespoon ground dried sage leaf (yes the regular garden type sageEssential oil of your choice, I use spearmint or peppermint |
Directions:
Mix all dry ingredients. Add 10 drops of essential oil mixing in with a fork to distribute as evenly as possible. Keep in an air tight container as moisture will cause the mixture to clump. It can be broken up again with a fork but best to avoid this by keeping moisture out. Wet toothbrush and shake off excess water. Scoop a nickel sized amount of the powder into the palm of your hand and tamp tamp tamp with your toothbrush, scoop as much remaining onto the toothbrush as you can and brush for at least 2 minutes. This mixture helps to tighten loose gums, neutralize the PH and odors as well as provide some antimicrobial action and tooth whitening. Kaolin clay is the “secret” really expensive tooth whitening ingredient that most dentists use and it really isn’t expensive at all if you don’t get it from your dentist. |

Garlic Recipes
Garlic is one of THE best antibiotic herbs and one of the least expensive and versatile to use.
Ear Infection Remedy |
Ingredient List:
Olive Oil
Fresh Garlic
Cotton Ball
Those darn ear infections always seem to happen in the middle of the night. No sweat.
No need to run to emergicare for the required 5 hour wait only to leave with an expensive prescription antibiotic and who knows how much it costs just to walk through the door these days. My simple tried and true home remedy for ear infection is simply to cut a sliver of a garlic clove about the size of the end of a toothpick. Enclose in a cotton ball and dip in olive oil. Insert just slightly into the ear and let the garlic do it’s magic.***Important to note here: NEVER get garlic inside of the ear as it will burn and cause a real reason to go to emergicare! |
